Separate from the church itself, the Bell Tower is 52m high and contains one large and two small bells. Every 15 minutes the bells chime to bring in the quarter, meaning there are plenty of opportunities to see the clock in action. Two opposite winding staircases lead the way up and down. The way up is punctuated with information boards following the history of apparatus used to tell time, from using the position of the sun all the way through to the atomic clock. On the journey down however, these signs contain biblical verses made to encourage appreciation of how little time we have on this planet, and the importance of using it wisely. Some of them may be a little bleak, but the message is undeniably positive and clear.

Hi, I'm an author (www.douglasmisquita.com) and my latest thriller is set in Slovenia. Lake Bled and Bled Island feature in the book and I'd like examples of the bell tower Bible verses to lend authenticity to a scene.
