Relatively small Irish pub down in a basement on the main street. Run by an Irishman from Galway, the pub serves Guiness, has two large screens for Sky Sports, a pool table and darts. There is one large table if you are seeking company, or separate wooden tables if you are already in a group. The central expat haunt of Veliko Turnovo with friendly staff, karaoke and live music. Typical pub grub, including chips with curry sauce.

Leipzig I am not sure if it was the same fellow running it when I passed through about sixteen years ago. He was from Limerick. He was most helpful and managed to get me a job in the English school which I did not take. There were some Scots there too and one or two other ex Pats. We had a good session and ended up singing rebel songs on the top of a table after closing time. A Canadian nearly got glassed but I managed to stop the perpetrator“and then I headed off with the Canadian and an English guy to some other pub which was not half as good but ten times more seedy.
