Due to the limitations set by the architectural reserve status of Arbanassi, most accommodation is in  beautifully restored original houses or new buildings built in strict adherence to local building guidelines (with only one notable hideous exception). There is not much here for the budget traveller, except for a room with a local family or in the St. Nikolai monastery, where individual rooms are on offer at reasonable prices. On the other hand, the hotels in Arbanassi offer a very high standard of service and accommodation and those listed here get our thumbs up.
