Defensive ramparts, lookout point, customs entry, lighthouse, exhibition space. This limestone and trachyte tower, built opposite the port in 1325 by Aragonese Admiral, Francisco Carroz, has done a bit of everything. Despite the fact that repeated changes of identity have meant continuous restoration, the characteristic octagonal form of Catalan origins has never been changed and it still remains the only one in Sardinia.
Open
Open only when there is an exhibition on.
