As the name suggests, this is the produce centre of the city. It always has been, and for centuries the proud citizens of Brno have made their way to Zelňák in search of fruit, vegetables, conversations and a whole lot more. A large Baroque fountain dominates the square, adding a certain dramatic grace the picture, along with a statue of ol’ Mozart himself stood in front of the theatre. The square is ringed by a number of excellent cafes located in stunning buildings, providing ample space for a little spot of people-watching, Brno style.
