No town in the Czech Republic is complete without a stunning town hall, and Brno doesn’t disappoint. An elegant arched passage welcomes the visitor with a warm embrace, before opening out onto a splendid courtyard that screams ‘Renaissance’, if we’ll accept that courtyards can scream. The Old Town Hall lost its political importance in 1935 (hence the ‘Old’ part of its name), but it remains a cultural beloved building in Brno today. The courtyard hosts plenty of events throughout the summer. The excellent Tourist Information Centre is also located here, just take the first left once you go under the arch.
