If we could pick one beach on Aruba to satisfy every family member Mangel Halto would be a top contender. It's an ideal place for sun lovers, splashers and swimmers as well as people who yearn for a touch of adventure. Located on the southeastern side of the island near the Spanish Lagoon, the waters beside this secluded spot offer the most brilliant shades of blue you've probably ever seen and it's a popular picnic place for locals. The surrounding mangroves lend Mangel Halto a magical quality and the powdery sand and shallow waters perfect for snorkelling are also crowd pullers, which is why it's so surprising that it's often so empty. A path from the parking lot leads to a platform from where you can access a covered sunbathing area. Beware of the the strong currents and we recommend you leave any valuables locked away in your car.
