Each costal area has its fair share of lost seamen and Aruba is no different. On the outskirts of Seroe Colorado at the southeast point of the island at the T-junction to Baby Beach, you’ll find this red anchor. One of Aruba’s most impressive landmarks is a poignant monument to the memory of the seamen who lost their lives when an oil tanker wrecked nearby. It is, however, commonly viewed as a memorial to all fallen seamen. If the wandering goats and donkeys don't pester you for food, you'll have great panoramic views in all directions. The inmates in the nearby prison, however, might disagree.
