With 38 (!) beaches to choose from and 365 days of sunshine a year, this is Paradise on Earth for people who like to chill on sandy, palm tree places. Unfortunately many tourists stay only at the (well equipped) beaches at the hotels, while there is so much more to discover on Curacao. Especially the cluster of beaches at Westpunt (Westpoint) are our favourites, with Grote Knip being our Top Choice. A not-to-be-missed experience is taking your own BBQ to the beach, which can be bought at most supermarkets for around NAF 10,-. Please make sure it’s allowed, cause some beaches are off-limits for smoking carnivores. Our tip? Find a spot at Caracasbay, Lagun or Draaiboot.
