The ‘drinking room’, as it roughly translates, comes into its own as people head out for the night and you can expect to find this packed at all hours of the evening and well into the night as revellers begin to crawl home. Filled with old bits and bobs like transistor radios and communist era posters, most of the clientele’s experience of Communism will have come exclusively from the history books or their parents, which helps explain why the atmosphere is always lively. In brief Pijalnia and the student budget were made for each other and this is a thoroughly recommended stop for a night cap and a bit of ‘soakage’.
