Of the handful of resorts this American company built on Aruba, this is our favourite. Although not located directly on the water, the quiet Druif Beach is conveniently situated across the street near one of the better golf courses on the island. This huge, beautifully maintained complex with a tropical, garden-like setting doesn't offer many frills, but the tranquillity and peacefulness can't be beat. Distances between the three sections of multiple buildings and the swimming pools, spa, tennis facilities, restaurants, reception are immense, but golf carts are available to get from point A to point B. Rooms are equipped with well-stocked kitchens, large balconies and a TV with enough channels to satisfy even its American customers. The style of the accommodation is a bit outdated, but the numerous amenities make up for this shortcoming. This is also a timeshare complex full of regular guests who visit frequently.
