Armenia may be the world’s oldest Christian nation but centuries of Islamic rule was always going to leave some architectural marks. The so-called Blue Mosque is the only active mosque left in the country and what a stunner she is, the name coming from the distinctive colour of the building’s dome. The Shia mosque was completed in the 18th century and is considered one of the most impressive buildings built in Yerevan during that period. It’s a fitty, that’s what we’re trying to say.
