Perhaps the most famous resident of the Wrocław Zoo is the iconic lion above the entrance gate. A beautiful yellow and green neon created in 1962, the sign was in disrepair until its recent restoration. Now the lion shines anew and is a symbol not only of the Zoo, but the entire city. He's also highly photogenic.
