Founded all the way back in 1949, when new communist authorities were busy putting a Polish stamp on this formerly German city, the Polish Theatre boasts three stages in three different locations: the Jerzy Grzegorzewski Stage in the theatre headquarters at ul. Zapolska 3, the Świebodzki Scene at the defunct Świebodzki Train Station (known for the Sunday bazaar, pl. Orląt Lwowskich 20c), and the Chamber Stage at ul. Świdnicka 28.
