Located inside a gorgeous 16th century monastery, the city's 'architecture museum' is actually more of a decorative and applied arts museum, with much of the collections consisting of decorative details from the built environment that were lost during WWII. Permanent displays include beautiful examples of stained glass from the 12th century to the Art Nouveau era, a collection of tiled ceramic stoves, intricate door handles, and a selection of truly ghastly gargoyles. Keeps your eyes peeled for occasional temporary exhibits as well, which usually require an admission fee.
Open 11:00-17:00. Wed 10:00-16:00, Thu, Fri 12:00-19:00, Closed Mon.
Price/Additional Info
Admission 20/14zł, groups over 10 people 10zł per person. Wed and permanent exhibition free.

I visited this museum located in the heart of Wroclaw and I find it an impressive museum with exhibitions of Polish pieces of architecture and numerous examples of artistic mastery of Polish artisans and workers in the Middle Ages. It represents numerous pieces of artwork from the era of the Middle Ages and one can admire the masterpieces of Gothic and Renaissance art.
