If this is the future of Polish milk bars we won't cry too many tears. Relocated on the ground floor on a modern office building, this historic milk bar is back in version 2.0, and we approve. The food is good and filling, and most of all scandalously affordable; the space is relatively clean - even the restroom - and the service is even trying to be nice. Offering the same traditional milk bar meals of yesteryear - dumplings (pierogi), potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane), pork cutlets (kotlet schabowy), stuffed crepes (naleśniki), cabbage rolls (gołąbki), salads (surówki) and soups (zupy) - the digital picture menu is a big help for foreigners trying to order and it's even offered in English and Ukranian. For anyone on a budget, with fussy kids or a large family to feed, this is among the best options in town. The modern reboot has made it extremely popular with locals, foreigners and travellers, so no shame; in fact, this is a cultural experience worth having.
