Though monikered after an old man, Grampa's is one of Wrocław's most modern and consistently highest-ranked hostels, with fresh facilities and amenities including the fantastic showers, actual mattresses on the bunks, plenty of private rooms, a colourful and comfy common room, fully-kitted kitchen, flat-screen TV, Playstation, wifi, washing machine (for an extra fee), free breakfast and more. A social atmosphere is fostered via frequent events, cooking demonstrations and group meals, plus the general conviviality of the staff. Located on the north side of the Old Town, it may be a hike from the train station, but the value you get on arrival makes it completely worth the trip.
