Jaś and Małgosia - the slim and charming little buildings on the corner of the Rynek - are as tempting as the witch’s candy house in Hansel and Gretel, the fairy tale from which they actually derive their names. Let yourself be lured inside however, and you might find yourself faced with the same menace as the wayward children of Grimm's story. What could be an excellent bar transpires to be little more than three levels of thin, dank rooms with ghastly souvenirs and some wooden tables wedged in the back. Grumpy barflies will love it, others will give it a swerve in favour of the large seasonal beer garden adjacent, or somewhere else entirely.
