This one certainly blurs the lines between cafe and bar, particularly when you arrive for coffee, discover the range of great Czech beers on offer and take a hopeful look at your watch. Though possessing more of an old-fashioned cafe atmosphere (as further evidenced by the mature clientele), the fact of the matter is there's a lack of cakes on hand and the coffee just isn't that good; the beer is. A large smoking room, scarlet walls, glass sconces, framed photos, and American wartime jazz and boogie flesh out this portrait of one of Wrocław's more underrated bars. If you're planning on using your laptop, be aware that almost none of the electrical outlets here actually work.
Open 11:00 - 01:00, Fri, Sat 11:00 - 02:00, Sun 12:00 - 24:00.

I do NOT understand how this place could possibly be one of Wroclaw`s "premier cafes." It is a BAR that pretends to be a cafe during the day. They had 3 pieces of cake. Is that a good selection? It smells like old beer-soaked carpet ala university student housing. It has a sign on the curb listing the beers. That is a cafe? You said that it is a "calm retreat to read a clever book?" Did you mean to say a "dirty book?" Is the "cafe" owner a friend or what?
