Located in Galeria Italiana, Baku Lounge seems out of place (a situation which they try to remedy by adding an Italian menu), but it doesn't matter - as far as we know, this is the only Azerbaijani restaurant in Poland, and we would visit it no matter how bizarre the location. Where else round these parts can you get lamb lahmajoun, dolma (stuffed grape leaves), dushbara dumpling soup, qutab with greens or meat, and karnıyarık (gloriously seasoned stuffed eggplant)? Add some pitas, shashlyks, and wash it down with ayran (a yoghurt-based drink), before settling down to a shisha session - a major draw for this establishment. There's even Turkish/Azeri breakfast of gözleme with cheese and scrambled eggs with flatbread, olives, cheese, and honey.
