No matter how many hangovers are endured, drinkers will find themselves happily returning to Bierhalle Restaurant Brewery time and time again. Located on the first floor of the Silesia City Center shopping centre (next to the cinema), Bierhalle prides itself on its unique brewhouses, where the brewing process can be observed from the outside - thanks to borosilicate glass cooking kettles and filter vats. The beers served at Bierhalle are unpasteurized and unfiltered, giving them a unique and authentic taste. While the premises are stylized as German beer halls, the cuisine is dominated by Polish staples, offering a great combination of German beer and Polish food!
The popularity of Bierhalle can be attributed to its delicious beer, which is all brewed on-site. The brewery offers a range of brews to choose from, including pilsner, amber, marcowe, and wheat (pszeniczne). In addition, there are always a few seasonal ales to try on-site or take home, and you can even order kegs (a rarity in PL). The full restaurant also serves stodgy Polish staples that go down well with a tankard of the frothy stuff, including the largest pork knuckle (golanka) in Katowice. The interior design is rustic and industrial, with heavy timber and bare bricks punctuated by staff dressed in Oktoberfest outfits. Although it may be a bit kitsch, the overall ambiance adds to the charm of the place. Despite the possibility of enduring hangovers, patrons of Bierhalle find themselves returning time and time again for the great beer and authentic atmosphere. Take note that, in the warmer months, outdoor seating is available on their terrace. If you have furry friends in tow, Bierhalle is a pet-friendly premises!
