It hardly gets more Austrian than this: old paintings, crisp tableclothes and even fake flowers make this place feel like a real local tavern. The food, be it schnitzel or beef goulash, is just excellent. Anton Winter, now in his 80s, inherited the restaurant from his mother and has since expanded it to include a small garden. Friendly talkative waiters still know about old-world hospitality. Tram N°43 or 44 from Schottentor to Brünnlbadgasse.
