These two wide pedestrian streets, flanked by elegant facades and joined at the strikingly modern Haas House opposite from Stephansdom, form the commercial arteries of Vienna’s first district. This is the city’s most exclusive shopping area, where designer label devotees go as much to see as to be seen.

... I prefer Hotel Kaiserhoff, near the best place to shop, Kartnerstr. Just beside you have the U-Bahn in 5 flors witth diff. shops etc. Like our S-train in KBH. DK. treir trains drives ultrafast also cause they get elektricity trrough the wheels, which give much more power contra train in DK (Intercity) get the power from wires on the top off the trains, which make trouble very often cause they broke. Therefore its a pleasure to move around in Wienna very quick. I lived at Hotel Kaiserhoff at one of the ending of Kartnerstr, and the prices vere very low and everything was perfect... Wienna - The town of towns im Europe******

Several smaller streets just off Graben and Kohlmarkt (Dorotheergasse, Singergasse and others) are known as Vienna's antiques quarter. If you are into old jewellery, furniture, books, figurines, porcellain and other things from the past, then this is your domaine. The choice is simply unlimited. But hurry! In these hard economic times, antique dealers find it hard to survive and many have already closed their shops or sell their items online only. Those who remain, however, do offer some good discounts.

Together with Kohlmarkt (Vienna's most expensive shopping street featuring the likes of Chanel, Tiffany's and Diesel) these streets form the city's luxury shopping triangle.
