Every Saturday morning the city springs to life with the arrival of the City Market. Producers come from the surrounding areas and set up their stalls with their home-grown and homemade goodies that are just too tempting to walk past. You’ll find the freshest fruit, vegetables and herbs, wine, brandy and juices, along with meat products, bread and delicious honey related products. As well as edible treats there’s also many craft stalls selling lots of other things that are characteristic of the Šalek and Upper Savinja valleys.
