Opened all the way back in 1991, Max Klub is as old as Slovenia itself and is easily the longest running club in the region (and also one of the oldest in the entire country). After more than two decades in existence it's only gotten better with age, and still attracts a young crowd of revellers, many of whom come from all over to the area to see performances from major Slovene and international bands - mainly in the rock and pop genres. Jazz music is also important part of the club's focus, with concerts and full festivals taking place from time to time. It's located on the western side of Rdeča Dvorana (Red Hall) sports complex in the city centre.
