Construction started on this hilltop beauty way back in the 12th century, and it is quite easy to transport oneself back to those simple times when gazing towards this idyllic spot. Vaduz Castle is the country’s great attraction, its most iconic spot and the number one name on the Bucket List. The castle is visible from all around, making it the ideal place for the ruling family to call home, although we suppose they don’t have to gaze out over their lands all day long. The castle was extensively renovated during the 20th century in order to make it liveable for the ruling princes, and that unfortunately means it is closed to visitors. Still, its a beaut to gawp up at, and if you don’t take a photo of it then we don’t really know what to tell you.
