A very impressive space located in a former 19th century weaving plant, this museum is home to both temporary exhibitions and an impressive permanent collection entitled 'Atlas of Modernity: Exercises.' The permanent collection leads viewers from the modern world to the present day and is intended to encourage visitors to map our their own paths. There are audio guides for that exhibition that will lead visitors through it. 

The museum boasts more than 400 works of contemporary art within the pristine space, and the permanent collection is constantly being added to and rearranged by visiting curators. There’s a constant cycle of cutting edge temporary exhibitions as well, with two current exhibitions: "Archaic Actions" on the work of Andrew Zwierzchowski (which starts Oct. 25 and goes until March 24), and "The Bones Have Been Thrown" (Alea Iacta Est) on the work of Stanislaw Dróżdż.



Zwierzchowski's work has focused on issues of space, light and the metaphysical with compositions that include kaleidoscopic elements and draw on themes like myth, biblical stories and travel. Dróżdż's exhibition is a work that was presented as a representation of Poland at the 50th Art Biennale in Venice. In this work, Dróżdż proposed an action according to the instruction: "you are a participant in a game; throw the dice; arrange them in a row; find this arrangement on the wall among 46,656 possible combinations; if you find - you have won, if not - you have lost."
