Top 5 Destinations for a Gaming-Themed Holiday

more than a year ago
If you have been considering arranging a gaming-themed holiday for yourself or your friends, here are five top gaming destinations you may want to consider before going anywhere else.

What is a gaming-themed holiday?

There are, in fact, two types of gaming-themed holiday experiences. One type of gaming-themed holiday is where you physically travel to an actual location to experience things like gaming conventions and expos, eSports tournaments, and purposely built gaming theme parks – by far the best holiday experience for gamers.

The other type of gaming-themed holiday is where you enjoy your time off work by staying at home and visiting places in video games using either a smartphone, desktop computer, tablet, laptop, VR or AR headset – which are great for people who are on a budget, or for those of you who just can't be bothered with the stress of arranging all the travel plans and would rather stay at home.

Top 5 destinations for a gaming-themed holiday in the real world

If you want to take a short vacation either alone or with friends or relatives and you want to take a break from playing Indie games, RPG or MMORP games, the best online slots South Africa has to offer, casual games, first-person shooter games, or triple-A video games for a week or so and want to get out there and experience life, here are the top five real-world gaming destinations you may want to consider visiting before anywhere else.

They include the following locations that may come as a surprise to some of you:

This is regarded by many as the number one destination for a gaming-themed holiday, mainly because it's Tokyo's gaming hub. It's also a great place to visit if you're into manga and anime culture. There are plenty of cafes, stores, gaming venues and many other gaming-related venues and events to take in during your stay here.

Reading, England – Zombie Survival Experience

California, US – The Computer History Museum
A true Mecca for everything to do with the history of computers and a fantastic experience.

Orlando, Florida, US - Harry Potter's Wizarding World
If you love the video game, then this is a must-visit destination.
