It doesn't get any more authentic than this seafood shack on the road to Miramare. With only a one page laminated menu the selection isn't great - deep fried calamari and sardines reign supreme - but the smells wafting out of the open kitchen are as powerful as a Sirens' song to passing motorists. The old man who runs the place doesn't speak any English, but there's a good chance he'll overfill your carafe of above average table wine and leave a couple of items off you bill. Of course the downside of a one-man show is that is can get a bit crowded if you arrive during the after-beach dinner rush, but patience is a virtue.
