Originally built at the beginning of the 20th, the Jewish house of worship in Trieste is one of the biggest and most important in Europe. It is said to encompass a blend of architectural styles including late Roman (as was seen in fourth Century Syria), and a tall dome is supported by four marble pillars. There's also a rose window with star of David depiction. Having been unveiled in 1912, the church had a period of second world war closure, to be reopened immediately after.
