First opened in 1915, Torinese is an original Art Nouveau bar, with an interior adorned by works of renowned Triestine cabinetmaker Debelli, as well as other known designers and a bright illuminated chandelier hanging overhead. Its place in Trieste's history was made official in 1999, when it entered the list of historic Italian bars. In 2014, the timeless ambiance was given a much needed shot in the arm with a new youthful management team, whose main focus is on mixing up perhaps the best cocktails in the city. You can also drop by during the day for fresh pastries or a light lunch.
