Located in the Quirinale district of Rome, the Trevi Fountain is the biggest and most beautiful fountain in the city. Characterized by intricately carved sculptures, it features the statue of Neptune (god of the sea,) flanked by two Tritons. It is said that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, one day you will return to Rome. That’s not all, the coins are collected and given to a Catholic charity called Caritas to help the poor and homeless. So, now you have more than one reason to visit the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin into it.
