Trebinje’s Old Town might not be as chock-a-block as the similar neighbourhoods in Mostar, Sarajevo and others, but that isn’t going to be the case for much longer. Established in the 18th century when Trebinje was in the hands of the Ottomans, the clientele may have changed but this remains a vibrant hustle and bustle of trade and commerce in the modern world. Cafes line the main streets, but it is just as easy to wander off in a different direction and feel as though you have the whole city to yourself. Energetic at night, relaxing in the morning, beautiful the whole day long.
