Recently opened in the centre of town, Trebinje’s Spomen Soba (Memorial Room, essentially) is a stark and sombre tribute to the men and boys who died in the city during the Bosnian War. Photographs, dates and minimal information are given but no more is needed, such is the gravity of individual sacrifice. The wall is adorned with quotes from Dučić and Šantić.
