Floor takes the entire top storey of a new building close to Freedom Square, which, while not exactly a skyscraper, still offers great views. This wonderfully located lounge-restaurant has a spacious and beautifully lit dining room in the centre, with wine-coloured walls and a big, inviting bar. Floor’s covered veranda goes almost all the way around the restaurant offering a 270 degree panorama from Mtatsminda mountain all the way to Sameba Cathedral on the left bank of the river, looking over the rooftops of old Tbilisi. The menu is a mix of international dishes and offers cream soups, steaks, grills and pizzas. What’s more, the kitchen stays open until 03:00: this is an all-day and all-night venue. There is live music until midnight, and from Thursday to Sunday a DJ takes over after that. To get up to Floor you need to take the lift located in the small entrance on Atoneli Street.
