Tarnów's bike share system involves 190 sturdy bicycles stationed at 18 points around the city centre. The service is seasonal and available from approximately the beginning of April until the end of November. After a 10zł registration fee, any ride under 30mins is free, 30-60min rides are 1zł, 60-120min rides are 2zł. If you're a local with a daily commute near the centre, that's a decent deal - it's cheaper and faster than the bus, not too mention good exercise. If you're a tourist, the initial fee is the bulk of the cost, but it could still be worth it if you use the bikes station to station, ending each ride; for example, hop on a bike straight from the train station to the market square, park it and explore; then rent it again and take it up to St. Martin's Hill or Mościce Arts Centre (which both have stations) and park. If you just use it for transport in this way, it's worth it, but if you're the kind of person who wants the freedom to explore the city by bike without worrying about stations, just rent one from the Tourist Information Office.
