Vixen Vinoteek has become such a hit over the years that the owners gave it a sibling: Vixen Steakhouse. Located in the Old Town around the corner from the popular wine bar, the small, elegant steakhouse has been garnering rave reviews ever since it opened in late 2023. The menu offers everything one would expect from a top-notch steakhouse: cuts of meat from around the world grilled to order, savoury side dishes like creamed spinach and decadent desserts including an American-style banana split. The specialty, not for the financially fainthearted, is the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, served tataki-style or as a melt-in-your-mouth filet. The cosy, intimate dining room features a snazzy bar serving house-made cocktails. The wine list comprises a curated selection from the Vixen cellar, with vintages often poured by one of Vixen’s sommeliers. For music, it’s Sinatra, jazz standards and bossa nova. Vixen is a good choice when splashing out for a special occasion or when you just want to feel special.
