St Catherine's Monastery is one of Tallinn's oldest buildings, founded by Dominican monks back in 1246. The monastery once had its own brewery and hospital, but was destroyed in 1524. Today, visitors can admire medieval architecture and a large collection of carved stones. The church, which actually sits inside the monastery is open to the public from June 1 to August 31. Closed on concert days.
