The exhibition takes back to a period that seems unbelievable today. Could you imagine not having chewing gum or that eating a banana was a distant dream? How about not having toilet paper or having to make rugs from empty milk packages.
There are lots of stories from the Soviet era that in 2019 seem funny or even unbelievable. This exhibition enables one to travel back in time and learn about life in 1970's and 1980's Estonia. The exhibition features a full size authentic soviet era 3-room apartment and a store among other exhibits. In a way this exhibition is an homage to people who had to live in a time of severe deficit and be creative. That is how one of the rarest exhibits was born – a self made car.
