Barcelona is a lovely city to walk, however, if you decide you need a taxi, you can get use apps like My Taxi, call on the phone or just hail one on the street. You can usually pay by credit card in Barcelona taxis or via taxi apps (but ask the driver first). The prices are not high (around 2 euro for 1 km and 3 euro initial fee).
