Montjuic is an outstanding hill overlooking the Barcelona harbor. It played a strategic part in the defense of the city and it’s one of the city’s natural elevations. Nowadays, it is a top tourist destination in Barcelona and one of its most beautiful areas. A perfect place for perfect panoramic pictures of the city. Since it is a hill, you can choose whether to walk to the top or to take the cable car (This funicular railway connects Montjuic with the Metro Transportation system at Paral·lel Station, Lines 2 and 3). Both ways for getting to Montjuic are fun, however, walking can be a little too exhausting and the cable car short trip is a lot of fun.
