Another wonderful old beachside villa has been given an expensive makeover and now offers some of the best 3-star accommodation you’ll find anywhere, let alone in Sopot. Originally built in the period 1912-1919, it was built using the Art Nouveau style to the designs of the well-known Sopot architect Wilhelm Lippke. It served a number of purposes over the years including a health resort for public officials; as the Hotel Plażowy (Beach Hotel) and as the administration offices for the German Army’s tax department. Following the war it served as a children’s home and later as a guesthouse.

The beautiful building now looks wonderful again and has been fully modernised, so that the short walk to the beach (it’s basically on the beach) is now just one of its many pluses. There are 40 comfortable rooms (including 10 family rooms or 'apartments') as well as a restaurant and conference facilities for 100 which should make this one for that company gathering you need to organise when you get back from your holiday.
