Getting around any of the three cities is increasingly difficult as is parking. If you are looking to make use of your car then you will probably find yourself travelling up and down the main Tri-city artery which becomes Al. Niepodległości in Sopot. This road connects Gdynia in the north to Gdańsk in the south. Sopot itself is small and parking places are limited and involve a small fee in the central area. Look out for the ticket machines. Sopot is so compact however that it is advisable to park the car in a guarded car park and to get everywhere on foot. Note that during the summer, the local government has set up a Park & Ride system utilising the free parking space at the Ergo Arena.
