What a title! Widely considered to be the smallest house in Great Britain, the Quay House is ironically difficult to miss. An adorably tiny red structure along the quay in Conway, the ‘house’ was previously home to a hilariously tall fisherman (think the ‘tall man, tiny car’ sketch in The Simpsons) but has been unfit for day to day living since 1900. The house is still owned by the same family and is now a delightfully picturesque attraction in this most alluring of towns. If you see the lady in traditional clothes standing outside it means the place is open, and for the princely sum of £1 you can enter the house and check out its colourful history.
