Found at the foothills of Snowdonia, Gypsy Wood is a family park with plenty within its borders. 20 acres of natural woodland combines with the inescapable charm of animals to create something for visitors of all ages. Take a trip on Woody’s railway through the park, or stop by the Big Dig and see whether you could work at a quarry, if that’s the dream. The animals are our favourite, obviously, with donkeys, pigs, goats, alpacas and more within the park. To visit by bus you need to make your way to Bontnewydd station, and the park is a five minute walk away. Those with private transport should head to Bontnewydd before heading towards Llanberis, with Gypsy Wood clearly marked.
