Skopje

Skanderbeg Square

more than a year ago
Developed somewhat as a reaction to the mass building project that was Skopje 2014, Skanderbeg Square is a shrine to all things Albania at one of the entrances to the Old Bazaar. A statue of Skanderbeg himself stands in its centre, as a detailed mural of Albanian heroes stands proudly to his right. The Kazandžiska underpass continues the theme, with a number of artistic flourishes to boot.

Why are you listing Skanderbeg Square (Albania) under things to see in Skopje, North Macedonia???? - Editor's Note: Because the square this listing is describing is indeed located in the centre of Skopje, North Macedonia. A friendly FYI, it is possible that more than one place exists in the world with the same name.
