Some 100km southeast of the capital, the Popova Kula (Priest’s Tower) vineyards are located in an area whose wine production dates back to at least the 13th century BC. With the help of an ideal soil and an excellent climate, Popova Kula uses 11 different varieties of grape to produce a small but excellent range of fine reds and whites using the latest technology. Geared towards the public, the business also features a hotel and gourmet restaurant seminars, and offers everything from team-building to conferences to wine-related tours and visits.
