This small church notable for its unusual wooden bell tower was famously built of couple of metres underground to please the Ottomans and as such is easily overlooked if you’re not paying attention. Another historical building whose precise history has been lost, its contemporary appearance dates from the early 19th century although some aspects stretch back several hundred years before. Famed for its outstanding wooden iconostasis, the church is the final resting place of the revolutionary martyr Goce Delčev (1872-1903) to whom a small museum has also been built.
