Macedonia’s first privately built winery was established in 1998 and has a capacity of 1.5 million bottles a year split between around 70% red and 30% white. Aimed at high-end consumers, their wines, including Vranec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir are exported all over the world. Bovin also produces rakija and the company offers special wine-tasting events for groups of between 10 and 60 people.
