In a building that dates from 1542 this restaurant comes complete with a real sense of history that isn't, thankfully, wasted on a tourist trap. Inside the walls have been decorated with bright depictions of Sibiu's Old Town alongside original brickwork and medieval weapons and other memorabilia. The food is Romanian and generally very good, slightly more progressive than some others on the tourist trail. As such it's popular with locals as much as visitors. Prices are decent and staff efficient.
